MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Shihan Kevin Sealy, founder of Sealy Karate Schools, a 7th-degree black belt in Shorinji-Ryu with over 30 years of martial arts experience, coaching Team Canada and mentoring over 300 Black Belt students in Guelph

Kevin Sealy, known as Shihan, began martial arts training at the age of 10 with his uncle. He's an experienced instructor in various martial arts styles and founded Sealy Karate Schools in 1991. He holds the Shichidan (7th Degree) rank in Shorinji-Ryu and has received awards for his excellence. He is well-regarded in the Guelph community and has mentored more than 300 students to Black Belt, and beyond. He also coached Team Canada in 2007 and is a member of the Equity Committee for the Wellington Catholic District School Board.

Shichidan - 7th Degree Black Belt

Sensei Cristin, 3rd-degree black belt and instructor at Sealy Karate Schools, with expertise in self-defense, fitness, and coaching individuals with disabilities. A fitness competitor and cycling team member, Cristin has dedicated her life to martial arts and healthy living.

Cristin began her training in 1997, focusing on self-defense and fitness. As she witnessed the positive impact of Sealy Karate Schools' programs on her son, her passion grew, leading her to earn her Black Belt and become an instructor. Since 2001, Cristin has continually upgraded her coaching knowledge and skills through courses in fitness, nutrition, and working with exceptional populations, including students with physical and mental disabilities. In addition to her martial arts journey, she’s had success as a fitness competitor and currently competes with Team Girls Get Gritty in cycling.
